Clinton’s JV games added to the Dark Horse sweep of Topsail Tuesday night, defeating the home team 42-28.
The young Lady Horses started off slow, but led by quarter’s end 10-5 and took a 17-15 lead into the half.
Clinton continued to pound away in the third period, advancing their score and outdistancing Topsail 35-22.
“We started off the entire first half slowly,” said JV coach Regina Parker, “but we turned up the pressure in the second half. Our defense really stepped it up and created turnovers. I was very proud of the heart and desire of my team.”
