Claude Clingmon DeVaughn
GARLAND — Claude Clingmon DeVaughn, 89, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at his home, 104 Center St.
Claude was born in Sampson County in April 22, 1923 to the late Horace Clingmon and Lola Freeman DeVaughn. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of Trinity AME Zion Church in Harrells.
A Home Going Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at Trinity AME Zion Church, 8122 Tomahawk Hwy, Harrells with the Rev. Candice Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends after the service and other times at the home, 401 Center St, Garland.
