DUNN — New Century Bank recently named three bankers to the role of assistant vice president and branch manager, announced Lisa F. Campbell, executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Everett K. Kelly, Jr., Pete S. Lagusis, and Seema D. Patel will serve in the role at the Bbank’s Goldsboro branch, and Raeford Road and Ramsey Street branches in Fayetteville, respectively.
As branch managers, they are each responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations, including staffing, planning, and sales, as well as serving the lending and deposit needs of consumers and small business customers.
“The branch manager role is an important one,” Campbell said. “These individuals will be critical to our success at these branches and in the Fayetteville and Goldsboro communities. Their customer-focus, operational expertise, and management skills will make a difference for customers, staff, and these communities.”
Everett K. Kelly, Jr. joined New Century Bank in 2009 as a commercial loan officer, after four years as a credit analyst and branch manager at First South Bank. A native of Wilmington, he is a graduate of St. Andrews University in Laurinburg NC, with a degree in business management. He is a former board chair for Communities in Schools of Pitt County and an ambassador for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He is looking forward to serving Goldsboro and the Wayne County community.
Pete S. Lagusis joined the Bank in January 2013 with over 10 years of banking experience, most recently with First Citizens Bank as a financial sales manager. A native of California, he is active in the community, including serving on the board of the Hope Mills Chamber of Commerce and Fayetteville’s Women’s Business Center. He is past vice president of the Fayetteville chapter (Chapter 9) of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association and a past loaned executive for the United Way of Cumberland County. He is married, has 3 sons, and believes in giving back to the community in which you live and work.
Seema D. Patel joined New Century Bank in 2012 following four years at Regions Bank. A native of Birmingham, AL, she earned a finance degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She and her husband, Bhavin, live in Fayetteville, and she is pleased to have an opportunity to become more engaged in the community and in serving her customers.
