GARLAND — Mr. Wayne Lee Barnes Sr., 68, of 1306 Peter Cromartie Road, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at his residence.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Beards Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Barbara Barnes; two daughters, Tamme Douglass and Michelle Faircloth, both of Garland; one son, Wayne Barnes Jr. of Garland; stepmother, Helen C. Barnes of Charlotte; two brothers, Wilbert Barnes Jr. and Ralph Barnes, both of Garland; four sisters, Ruth Oliver of Garland, Mildred Jones of White Oak, Pam Best of Clinton and Cathy O’Bday of Charlotte; and seven grandchildren.
