Hobbton Middle splits games with Sampson

The Hobbton Middle girls’ softball team had a field day at Sampson Middle taking the win 16-1

Coach Pat Bowden said, “We played much better as well as hitting better.”

The Middle Wildcats had 15 hits in 29 at bats. Alona Rose went 2-4 with 4 runs, Cameryn Carr had 3 walks and 1 run. McKenzie Williams was 4-4 with 3 runs and pitched all 4 innings. Megan Parker was 2-4 with 3 runs. Nina Devone was 2-4 with 2 runs, Mattie Roesch was 2-4 with 1 run. Catylin Stegal was 1-3, Summer French was 1-3 with 1 run and Meredith Norris was 1-3 with 2 runs.

Hobbton Middle is open the rest of the week.

Boys baseball

Hobbton Middle played at Sampson Middle Monday with Sampson winning 8-4. Jason Wilson was 1-3 with 1 run scored. Gage Herring was 2-3 with 1 run scored and Russ Slatley was 1-2 with a base on balls. Todd Meyers had 2 base on balls and scored 2 runs.

Statistics for Sampson Middle were not called in.
