Midway Middle shut out Roseboro-Salemburg 8-0 Monday in soccer action, moving the young Raiders to a 2-1 record on the young season.

“I am very proud of the sportsmanship the Lady Raiders demonstrated at today’s game,” said head coach Wendy Williford. All of the ladies played exceptionally well; however, the subs did an outstanding job when they entered the game, too.”

Scoring during Monday’s match was Kasey McLamb, who had 6 shots on goal, 2 assists and 4 goals scored; Nadia Evans, 3 shots on goal, 1 assist, 2 goals scored; Jennifer Juarez, 1 goal; Adriana Alvarado, 1 goal; and Sydney Richardson and Kyla Kibler each with an assist.

Midway Middle will play Union Middle Thursday at UMS. Game time is 4 p.m.
