Lady ‘Cats trounce G’boro

The Hobbton Wildcats’ softball team took on Goldsboro Thursday afternoon coming away with a 17-1 win.

Morgan Farroll, Hobbton’s coach, said, “The ladies played well. We won 17-1 in three innings. We just need to keep the momentum for Union on Friday.”

The Lady Wildcats had 4 runs in the first , 1 run in the second and 12 runs in the third. Baileigh Moser hit an inside the park home run to give us the extra runs to end it early. Brittany Testerman pitched 2 innings and had 5 strikeouts while giving up 2 hits and 1 walk with 1 earned run. Gracie Olson pitched the third inning to close the game with 3 strikeouts.
