The Lady Leopards soccer team faced rival James Kenan on Tuesday and the game ended in a solid deadlock with a final score of 2-2.

Despite two ten minute halves of overtime, neither team could get a winning kick.

“The first forty minutes we played sloppy, and at half time we were down 2-1; however, in the last 60 minutes we played the way I know we can, and the girls made me proud. The team is eager for a rematch on Leopard turf,” said Lakewood head coach Jennifer Wuester.

Ashton Odum made the first goal for the Leopards, with an assist from Janay Kinlock. The other goal was made from a deflection off of a James Kenan player.

The Leopards’ record now stands at 3-0-1 in the conference, but they face a tough Wildcat team on Friday.
