The Hobbton Middle girls soccer team got their second win of the week beating Union 1-0 Thursday afternoon.
The win came on a second half goal off of a throw-in by Ashley Hinterleiter. That throw-in from 35 yards would find Lexi Mincy in front of the goal beating the Union keeper with 13 minutes left in the game.
“This was a tight contest with not many scoring opportunities for both teams; it was a hard forth effort by both teams,” said Hobbton coach Damon Barnett.
“Our goalkeeper, Celine Marrison, played a flawless game. She has been working hard and she showed it.”
Hobbton plays at Midway, Monday, 4 p.m.
