Area churches to hold Men’s Day celebrations Sunday

Men’s Day will be celebrated in area churches this Sunday.

Men’s Day will be celebrated at Union Star Free Will Baptist Church, Clinton, on Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m. The pastor, bishop James Leftdwrige, will deliver the Men’s Day message and the male chorus will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. Everyone is invited.

Men’s Day will be celebrated at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, on Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Ray Bolton, will bring forth the Men’s Day message and the male chorus will render the music.

Men’s Day will be celebrated at Morning Star Holiness Church, on McKoy Street, Clinton, on Sunday, 11 a.m. The pastor, elder Lloyd Butler Jr., will bring forth the morning message and the male chorus will render the music. The afternoon service will consist of a musical program featuring The Gospel Messengers, of Clinton, and others.

Men’s Day celebration will be held at Saint Jude Church of Christ in Warsaw on Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be elder James Brunson, associate minister of Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. Don’t miss it.

The House of Prayer in Faison will have their regular worship service on Sunday, April 5, 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be eldress Velma McKinley of Goldsboro. Everyone is invited. Minister Carl Faison is the host pastor.

The Ram In The Bush Church of Clinton will have a pre-anniversary service on Thursday, April 2, 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Jacki London of New Bern. Everyone is cordially invited.

The Red Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Faison will have a special service on Friday night, April 3, 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be minister Davon Smith, associate minister of Union Grove Disciple Church, Clinton. Don’t miss it.

Sunrise service will be held at Mingle Hill Disciple of Christ Church in Salemburg on Sunday, April 12, 6 a.m. The guest speaker will be minister Eddie D. Parker, associate minister of Bethlehem Disciple Church, Clinton. Breakfast will follow in the fellowship hall. Spring revival will begin on Wednesday, April 15, and last through April 17, 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be Dr. Thurman McGougan, pastor of Hatchers Chapel AME Zion Church of Maxton, along with his church family. The pastor is elder Alden Glaspie and first lady is Wilma Glaspie. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.

Women’s conference will be held at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton on April 15-17, 7:30 p.m. nightly. The theme will be “Birthing My Breakthrough.” The guest speaker will be evangelist Hattie Lofton of Hickory Grove Disciple Church of Four Oaks. The following choirs will participate: On Wednesday, Sam’s Springs; Thursday, Andrew Chapel of Clinton; and Friday, Holy Tabernacle of Roseboro. Don’t miss it.

The Pastor Aid of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton will sponsor a program on the armor of God titled “The Wardrobe Of A King” on Sunday, April 19, 3:30 p.m. For more information call Retha Raynor at (910) 592-4622. The host pastor is the Rev. Ray Bolton.

On Saturday, April 11, the Friendly Trio of Clinton will host an Easter egg hunt at the Friendly Community Center, Clinton, at 2 p.m. All children and adults are invited.

On Sunday, April 19, the Friendly Trio will host a musical gospel program at 6 p.m. Several gospel groups will participate. For more information call Mr. Charles Strickland at (910) 590-4925.

Regular morning worship service will be held at Saint Stephens Holiness Church in Turkey on Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Willie Bryant, will bring forth the morning message and the young adult choir will render the music. At 3 p.m., the guest speaker will be elder Moses Darden, choir and congregation of Dudley. Everyone is welcome.

Quarterly conference will be held at Saint Stephens Holiness Church on Saturday, April 4, 12 p.m. All members are urged to attend and be on time. The Rev. Willie Bryant is the pastor.

Family and Friends Day will be celebrated at Mount Sini Holiness Church of Clinton on Sunday, April 12, 11:30 a.m. I will tell you more about it next week.

Regular morning worship service will be held at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on H.B. Lewis Rd., Clinton, Sunday, April 5, 11 a.m. An associate minister of the church will be preaching and will be accompanied by the senior choir with C.J. Morrisey on the keyboard and Andrew Rich on the drums. Don’t miss this service.

Holly Grove Church of Christ, Clinton, will have their annual mission service on Sunday, April 5, 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Hattie Lofton of Cooper Chapel Holiness Church of Four Oaks, accompanied by her choir. Everyone is invited.
