Barbara J. Lockamy, 37
GARLAND Mrs. Barbara Joyce Beasley Lockamy, 37, of 42 Little Joe Lane, left this earthly life the morning of Friday, April 17, 2009 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The funeral to celebrate her life and going home will be held 4 p.m., Monday, April 20, at Carrs Chapel Church on McDaniel Road, off Boykin Bridge Road with the Rev. Billy Bass and the Rev. George Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Barbara was born in Sampson County to the late Rev. James Beasley. Barbara worked at the McDonalds at Wal-Mart in Clinton where she loved to make people laugh and smile. She also loved working with income tax returns each year, and most of all, she loved her family.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Hardy Lockamy of the home; daughter, Miss Catherine Lockamy of the home; two sons, Masters Justin Beasley and C.J. Lockamy both of the home; mother, Berline Ammons of Garland; sister, Sherry B. Ammons of Turkey; brother Robert Beasley of Autryvile.
The family will receive friends at the Carrs Chapel Church Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 5 until 9 p.m. and other times at 179 Elwell Road Garland.

Willie C. Ford, 68
ROSEBORO Mr. Willie Charles Ford, 68, of 99 Noah Lane, died at Carrol S. Robertson Hospice Center in Fayetteville Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
The funeral will be Wednesday, April 22, at Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church with pastor Ruby Boykin officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, at the Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home from 1 until 5 p.m.


James F. Dixon, 78
CLINTON Mr. James Franklin Dixon, 78, of 4016 Forrestdale Drive, Durham, formerly of 208 Beaman St., Clinton died at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro Saturday, April 18, 2009.
A grave side service will be held Tuesday, April 21, in the Clinton Cemetery at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ron Cava officiating.
Born on July 27, 1930 in Sampson County, Mr. Dixon was the son of the late Leonard Daniel and Rosa V. Strickland Dixon. He attended Campbell University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; he was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force and a retired employee with Commercial Credit in Fayetteville.
He is survived by a sister, Janice and husband, Francis Brown, of Durham; nieces, Lisa B. Lundy and Julie B. Ishmael, both of Durham; great-nephews, Kyle and Ryan Ishmael of Allen, Texas; great-niece, Ashley Ishmael of Allen, Texas; great-nephew, Austin Lundy of Durham.
The family will receive friends at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Monday, April 20, from 7 until 9 p.m.

Hardy L. Williams, 72
CLINTON Mr. Hardy Lee Williams, 72, of 430 Sampson St., Clinton died at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
The funeral will be Tuesday, April 21, at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Clinton with pastor Regina Lucious officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandhills Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 20, at the Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home from 1 until 5 p.m.

Estelle Carter, 91
CLINTON Ms. Estelle Carter, 91, 503 Bryon Butler Court, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at her residence.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 21, 1 p.m., at the Piney Green Disciple Church in Newton Grove. Interment will be follow in the McLamb Family Cemetery in Clinton.
She is survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be Monday, April 20, from 1 to 6 p.m. The family will be present from 5 to 6 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the residence.
