Although details were sketcy, Sampson County Sheriff’s officers said Raqueel Renee Carr returned unharmed late in the afternoon.
Officers were interviewing the 13-year-old, trhing to determine what had happened in the more than 24 hours since her disappearance.
Early Tuesday, the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office issued a request for the public’s assistance in locating the missing juvenile, who hadn’t been seen since early Monday morning.
According to Capt. Eric Pope, Carr was reported missing by her family on Monday afternoon.
Carr, 13, was last seen by family members at 6:45 a.m. Monday morning preparing to board the school bus. School records indicate that Raqueel did not attend classes Monday at Union Middle.
Pope stated sheriff’s investigators had not discovered any signs of foul play in the disappearance.
Reports indicate that she was last seen on Castle Lane in Harrells.
