Anthony D. Bonaparte, 52

CLINTON — Mr. Anthony David Bonaparte, 52, of 227 Oakmont Drive, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Bonaparte was a veteran of the Armed Services. He was a Pvt. rank in the U.S. Army.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 23, at Olivet Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton, with the Rev. Willie W. Bowden Sr. officiating.

Mr. Bonaparte is survived by his mother, Peggye L. Backman of the home; son, Malik H. Bonaparte of the home; four brothers, Bobby K. Bonaparte of Waldorf, Md., Warren Bonaparte, Vincent Wells and Matthew Wells, all of Fairfield, Ala.; and sister, Collette Wells of Mobile, Ala.

Memorials may be sent to Olivet Institutional Missionary Baptist Church Missions.

Louise B. Keene, 82

NEWTON GROVE — Mrs. Louise Barefoot Keene, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

Mrs. Keene was preceded in death by her husband, Percy T. Keene.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 22, at Pleasant Union Christian Church with Rev. Bill Wilson, Rev. Penny Ziemer and Mrs. Rebecca Odell officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Keene is survived by three sons, Carroll Keene and wife, Sandra, of Roseboro, Paul Layton Keene and wife, Diane, of Garner, and Frankie Keene and wife, Rita, of Newton Grove; sisters, Lettie Barefoot and Mildred Peacock, both of Autryville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.
