Three people were arrested late Friday afternoon after a security officer in Wal-Mart, located at 1415 Sunset Ave. in Clinton, witnessed them taking items while shopping in the store, in two separate incidents that happened within an hour of each other.

According to reports from the Clinton Police Department, Wal-Mart security was able to detain all three suspects after one attempted to steal a $13 CD and the two others were seen concealing assorted clothing in a bag and trying to exit the front of the store.

Police arrested Enrique Santos Mendoza, 16, of 1086 Naylor Road, Harrells, around 3 p.m. for misdemeanor larceny (the $13 CD) and placed him under a $200 secured bond. Mendoza will have a trial date on June 17.

Arrested just two hours later for reportedly attempting to steal the clothes were Jasmine Wiggins, 21, of 419 Satchell St., Wallace, who was charged with larceny and placed under a $2,500 bond. Wiggins will have a trial date of June 11.

An alleged accomplice, Delisa Janay Newsome, 21, of 4449 Carlton Chapel Church Road, Warsaw, was also charged with larceny and placed under a $2,500 bond. Newsome will also have a trial date of June 11.

Well, let's look at this case.

You have one moron who steals a $13 CD and is placed under a $200.00 bond( loss of $187 and no profit). Then you have these other two losers who steal maybe $50 to $100 worth of stuff( didn't really say) and are placed a $2,500.00 bond a piece( a combined loss of maybe $4,800). This tells me these idiots really need an economic class because they lost more than they gain. You know we could hire them as new county managers( right, Moorefield??) or as the new clerk of Roseboro( what do you think Drenda???).
