The senior choir of Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro will celebrate their anniversary on Sunday, June 7, at 4 p.m. Several singing groups will participate: Mount Zion choir of Dunn, Shiloh choir of Fayetteville, Brown’s Chapel of Clinton, Elizabeth choir of Autryville and many others. The annual Men’s Day service will be held at Mingle Hill Disciple Church in Salemburg on Sunday, June 7, with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. The pastor, elder Alden Glaspie, will deliver the morning message and the men’s choir will render the music. Lunch will be served following the morning service. The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. The guest speaker for this service will be the Rev. Onyx Martin and congregation of Saint Paul Disciple of Christ Church in Clinton. Music will be rendered by the Robinson Chapel male chorus of Roseboro. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.

Regular morning worship service will be held at Union Star Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton on Sunday, June 7, at 11 a.m. The pastor, bishop James Leftdwrige, will deliver the morning message and the combined choir will render the music. At 3 p.m. the ushers will celebrate their anniversary. The guest speaker will be the Rev. James Mitchell, accompanied by his choir and congregation of Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Men’s Day will be celebrated Sunday, June 7, at Saint Stephens Holiness Church in Turkey at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Willie H. Bryant, will deliver the Men’s Day message and the male chorus will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. Vacation Bible School will begin at Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton on June 15-19 from 6-8 p.m. nightly. Refreshments will be served. Adults and children are invited to attend.

She is the daughter of elder Deborah Peterson, granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Ree Chestnutt and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Ida Mae Best, all of Clinton.

On Wednesday, June 10, will be ministry gifts, song dance and words of expression; Thursday, June 11, the guest speaker will be pastor Eric Underwood, choir and congregation of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church of Bolivia; and Friday, apostle Sheldon McCray, choir and congregation of New Birth Sound of Thunder Christian Center of Greensboro. Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey, will celebrate the second anniversary of its praise dance ministry on Sunday, June 7, 4 p.m. There will be several praise dancers and mime ministries on the program.
