According to Warsaw Police Capt. J.T. Wood, his office got involved when the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the department to check on a possible drunk driver. Warsaw Police officers L.R. Ward and C.C. Johnson responded to the call.
“Upon arrival, they noticed the woman’s vehicle moving — she was driving the wrong way around the rest stop,” Wood said.
Ward and Johnson initiated a stop and talked to the woman. While one went back to the car and the other was checking her license and registration, the woman took off down Old Warsaw Road towards Moltonville at a high rate of speed.
From start to finish, the chase lasted for all of six minutes, at times reaching speeds up to 105 mph. Reports note that the woman also ran a stop sign at Cabin Museum Road during the chase.
Warsaw Police Capt. L.L. Holland, who was at the scene, said that the woman “appeared” to be intoxicated.
“She hit a soft patch and skidded a little because she hit the brakes,” he said. “She was trying to make a turn, but then hit the brakes — she did not wreck the vehicle.”
The N.C. Highway Patrol was called because of the possible driving while intoxicated charge, Wood said. “We were just assisting,” he added,
Both captains report that after the vehicle came to a stop, the woman was taken to Duplin General Hospital after the incident, with charges expected within the next few days.
“There is the possible DWI, an open container, fleeing and a host of other charges expected,” said Wood.
The woman’s name will not be released until after the charges are leveled against her.

I can't figure out why someone would drive drunk or under the influence of something knowing your butt could kill somebody. I just don't understand it.
So is the "rebel with a cause" still having her cook out or was she just blowing smoke?
Ggirl what time is the cookout tomorrow?
It's obvious you're more confused than anyone on here. Maybe, you should get a job. Now, to more important matters.
Dukeblue,
I do find it interesting Aman's picture is up and we are still waiting for the mystery woman sitting on the ground to be identified, since Tuesday?
28398,
Your compassion for the driving drunk lady is epic, however, it's falling on deaf ears. Mine. My guess we shall never know what became of the drunk lady sitting on the side of the road. She sits there humilated and dishoveled. This story will eventually fade into internet obscurity. As for her being in the ICU, I'll keep my opions to myself. We do have an abuse policy now.
I never heard of a church "rejecting" anyone; however, there are some churches that don't make you feel very welcome....but thats another subject for a later date.
Why don't you two exchange email addresses and phone numbers so you can shower each other with kindness without the rest of us having to endure the PDAs in the comment section of the SI..."

Take care.
