MOUNT OLIVE—It is a couple of months away, but the upcoming Talley Trio Concert at Mount Olive College is expected to be such a hit that college officials are trying to get the word out in advance. Talley Trio, one of Southern Gospel music’s most well known family groups, will perform at MOC on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center.

Roger, Debra and Lauren Talley have developed a unique, progressive sound that combines southern gospel with praise and worship, hymns and other styles. The group is well known for presenting the gospel to the listener through song and testimony. The hallmarks of their sound are their musical arrangements, close-knit harmonies and powerful vocals.

Roger and Debra Talley have enjoyed many years at the forefront of gospel music. Their daughter Lauren’s love of singing and desire to share what God placed in her heart, led them to ring her on board after a three-year stint away from the spotlight.

Roger, Debra, and Lauren began performing together on a limited basis in 1996 as the Talley Trio. While they never intended to form a new group, their success was overwhelming, and the Talley Trio now carries on the family tradition.

For more information about the concert, or to reserve group seating, contact Dr. Armstrong at 919-658-2502 or email a1armstrong@moc.edu.
