According to reports from coach Dwight Miller, the team won their first game, which was held at 9 a.m., 56-68.
“One down six more to go,” Miller emphasized about bringing home a national title.
While the team is one-step closer to bringing home their first national title, Miller also pointed out that it was, indeed, a team effort.
“The entire team got lots of playing time and we looked really good,” Miller shared this morning.
The All Stars played again at 5:20 p.m., Friday, July 24, taking on the Long Island Lightning-Curry from New York.
According to reports for coach Miller, the All Stars defeated the Lightning 75-54, which advanced them in the tournament.
Saturday morning the All Stars prepared to take on U Turn our of Virginia, and according to Miller the All Stars came out on top again beating U Turn by 20 points.
The final score was 62-44, All Stars.
As for leading players this weekend, Miller commented that James Miller, Naquan Smith Trashawn Raynor, Connor Bullet and Mark Schmitt all have averaged anywhere from 8 to 22 points per game.
Miller: 15-22 points per game; Smith: 12; Raynor: 12; Bullet 10; and Schmitt: 10.
“We are the number one seed in the first round of the playoffs,” Miller revealed, adding that the All Stars are slated to play again tonight, Saturday, at 8 p.m.
