On Monday, the North Carolina Department of Crime Control and Public Safety issued a Silver Alert for Darlene Wilson, of 137 Marion Drive, Warsaw, after her family reported to investigators that they had not heard from her in weeks.
According to those family members, Wilson was last seen on July 3 at her home.
“We haven’t heard from her,” said Wilson’s brother, Steve. “It is not like her to just up and go without letting us know where she is going.”
Wilson, whose parents live in Newton Grove, is described as a Africian-American female, standing 5-foot 8-inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. Her hair and eyes are black in color.
She is also described as suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
“She don’t have any medicine with her,” said her brother. “And we are hoping that someone will see her and call us. We have shown her picture around, and a lot of people know her, they just don’t know where she is.”
Steve Wilson said that the family is very concerned about his sister’s whereabouts and if she happens to see this story, they hope that she calls them immediately.
“Just so we know that she is OK,” he said. “We want to tell her we love her and that we want her to call us so that we know she is alright.”
