ROSEBORO — Ms. Anna Bernice Deitrich, 71, of 12171 N.C. 210 South, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at Autumn Wind Assisted Living.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike McGirt officiating. Burial will be in the Roseboro Cemetery.
Ms. Deitrich is survived by her sister Marge Peich and a brother, Walter Englert.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home.

KENANSVILLE — Mrs. Hazel Williamson Scott, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at Kenansville Health and Rehab.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Kenansville United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow in Golden Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the church before the service.

GARLAND — Mr. Harold R. New, 75, of 3445 Old Fayetteville Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, at Friendship Baptist Church in Garland with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. New is survived by his wife, Sally Mae New; two sons, Robert New of Garland and Jerry New of Clinton; two daughters, Debbie Robinson and Karen Brown, both of Garland; two brothers, L.C. New and Billy New, both of Hope Mills; two sisters, Mildred Honneyberg of Seffner, Fla., and Dorothy Fouche of Elgin, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
