According to Toney Bond, vice president of student services, “We're excited about our growth in enrollment and look forward to providing continued service to our community. The outstanding commitment of our faculty and staff toward new initiatives such as New Student Orientation, the Duplin Early College High School, and our revised registration procedure, has greatly benefited the college during our registration process.”
Robert Rehder, vice president of college advancement, added, “While the current economy presents some hard challenges to most Americans, James Sprunt continues to provide affordable lifelines not only for our new high school graduates, but also for a workforce seeking higher skill levels. We work closely with business and public service leaders to support growth industries and provide the training they require.”
New-Student Orientation/Registration held July 23 and August 13, included students attending the Duplin Early College High School which is located on the JSCC campus. The early college high school students will be taking high school and college classes, and can graduate in 5 years with both a high school degree and a college associate’s degree.
James Sprunt is an open-enrollment, comprehensive community college located in Kenansville offering 2-year degrees, college transfer programs, diplomas, certificates, and a wide variety of continuing education programs.
