Horses stampede Whiteville

The Dark Horse soccer team traveled to Whiteville Wednesday, shutting them out 0-3.

According to head coach Brad Spell, the score at halftime was tied at zero, but eventually goals off Field Palmer, Hector Regaldo and Jonathan Jacobs brought Clinton to a 0-3 victory.

Spell further reported that Clinton got 11 shots off compared to Whiteville’s two and had seven corner kicks compared to their opponent’s four.

“Tevin Bryant, our keeper, had two saves tonight,” Spell highlighted. “Defensive played well; midfield controlled the field; and the forwards did a good job checking back and creating shots.”

The varsity Dark Horses’ record stands at 6-1 and they are slated to play East Bladen Tuesday, Sept. 8, away.

As for the JV team, Spell reported that they, too, defeated Whiteville 0-5, leaving their record 3-0-1.
