On Tuesday, Erik Todd Dutter, 16, of 25 Junkyard Lane, Clinton received charges of conspiracy, second degree arson and breaking and entering stemming from a crime that took place back on June 25. Dutter was placed under a $10,000 bond with a trial date of Sept. 18.
Just last week, he was charged with two counts of breaking and entering; two counts of larceny after breaking and entering; and possession of stolen goods after investigators linked Dutter to the two previous breaking and entering crimes, both felonies.
According to reports, the suspect reportedly broke in the homes of two Clinton residents on separate occasions Saturday, Aug. 22, taking a set of binoculars and a Compaq computer, both valued at $620, and leaving over $2,000 in damage at one residence. In the other incident approximately $750 in items were taken.
Later that same night, Dutter was reportedly involved in a police chase that ended with him being charged with resisting public officer, no operator’s license and failing to stop for blue light. Bond was set at $700 and a court date was set for Sept. 10.
His bonds total $22,200.
