According to reports, the citizen immediately notified 911 of the suspicious find and a deputy from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office responded.
The deputy requested the assistance of the Special Investigations Division, who confirmed the suspicious items were components of a meth lab. A search of the immediate area revealed a bag containing approximately 30 pounds of marijuana.
Officials with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation responded to assist in dismantling the lab.
“Meth labs are very dangerous in their very nature and the fumes from a lab can cause serious injury up to and including death,” said Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton. “If any citizen finds items that look suspicious on their property, they should call 911 and report the situation.”
No arrests have been made, however investigators with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation are following up on potential leads in the case.

Thanks spazz. I reposted that part of your comment just in case Sherry missed it the first time. She thinks people log on to read the news apparently. It takes about a week of censoring the postings and when the viewing drop drastically they ease up again. She goes through this regularly, almost like PMS. Just don't mention the A word and you're good. lol

i don't care what the weather is, i care about accuracy, however, i noticed just as soon as my post had time to reach the eyes of "big brother" or "big sister" as this case may be, the temp suddenly appeared to be correct... imagine...
but first, someone please tell me how the current temperature in clinton is 57 (according to the weather block on here) and 86 here in Fayetteville... ummmm, perhaps that SI lady has not been monitoring accordingly?
