An Autryville man was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after investigators with Sampson County Animal Control responded to a report of a dog being deliberately malnourished.

According to reports, when the Animal Control deputy arrived on scene, he found a white pitbull tied to a utility pole, reportedly starving. He gave the animal food and water and waited for the homeowner to arrive at the residence.

In interviewing the man, it came to light that the dog was not fed because he couldn’t afford to feed it, reports show.

Richard Earl Blue, 40, of 1451 Sivertson Road, Autryville, was charged with animal cruelty and not having vaccinations of all dogs/cats required. Blue was given a $2,000 bond and a trial date of Nov. 25.

Lafus I know you better than that. They must have edited the crap out of that comment. That is way too sensitive for you! By the way, check your profile and the DSS article!

I would love to tie him to a pole and let him go without food and water for a while. Then stick him in the back of the animal control truck naked.

Anybody that will mis-treat a child, a dog or a cat is the lowest form of humanity. Their punishment should be of the maximum. I'm willing to inject the needle.
