Baptist Church

The members of Bethany PFW Baptist Church are collecting items to make Christmas stockings for the troops. Donations will be accepted until Sunday, Nov. 29.

Clement Church of God

Clement Church of God of Prophecy, 3990 Maxwell Road, will celebrate Homecoming Sunday, Nov. 8. The First Baptist Church, 900 College St., will host Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and the annual Homecoming service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bernard Hayes will be the guest minister. The Mass choir will render the music. Lunch will be served after the morning service.

Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church has been selected by N.C. Beautiful to receive a special beautification prize of 50 azaleas for use in the group’s 2009 Beautification projects. Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church will plant its azaleas at 400 Six Runs Church Road, Turkey.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church’s 60th annual Harvest Day will be Nov. 21. Barbecue chicken and pork will be on sale from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., with an all day bazaar.
