Easing into Friday night’s game fully aware of Elkin’s high level of play on the gridiron, North Duplin would attempt to block the Elks charges by moving the ball and avoiding setbacks, however, the Rebels would be unable to establish a spot on the board.

Despite attempts to hold the Elks, North Duplin would fall in their home stadium 26-0, ending their playoff run. The Rebels would finish 5-8.

Prior to the game, head coach Huge Martin said the team would set their focus Friday on penetrating the offense with hopes of stopping the Elks from executing plays.

Unfortunately, the task at hand failed, leaving Elkin to put 26 points on the board.

Even though the season has ended for North Duplin, training for next season is right around the corner.
