“Offensively, we were sloppy, but defensively we played very well,” Wallum reported. “We stole the ball and turned it right back over; we just couldn’t get anything going offensively.”
Although the Raiders got off to a slow start Tuesday, putting up only two points in the first quarter, they were able to capture the lead for a 13-9 halftime score.
After the break, Princeton would rally to a one-point deficit going into the final 8 minutes of play. The score was 21-20, Midway’s game.
Midway would solidify the win in the final quarter after putting up five points compared to Princeton’s four.
Leaders for Midway were Amber Peterson with 13 points and eight rebounds; Candace Fogg six points and nine steals; Kacey Wrench with four points and four steals.
The lady Raiders are now 4-1 and will host Rosewood Friday, Dec. 11.
