Zeroing in on the basket Monday, Roseboro-Salemburg’s Patrick Rich contributed 14 points to the Leopards victory over Hobbton. The final score was 51-26.
Still getting acclimated to the Wildcats’ territory, the Leopards would take a 4-0 lead at the end of the first quarter Monday, reported Roseboro’s head coach Todd Wheeler.
After Hobbton was held from scoring in the first quarter, the Wildcats rallied in the second quarter putting up 11 points; however, the Leopards were full-speed ahead, adding an additional 19 points to the board to take a 23-11 halftime advance.
Following the break, Roseboro would appear to lose some steam after giving up six points to Hobbton and only putting up another nine, but despite the minimal baskets in the third quarter, Roseboro was still ahead 32-17.
In the final quarter, Roseboro’s 15 point advance was enough fuel to light Hobbton’s fire as they put up another nine points, but the Leopards additional 19 was enough to solidify the 51-26 win.
