Richard Wayne Buck, 32, of 729 Raleigh St., Newton Grove, was charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle; larceny and three counts of possession of stolen goods after being arrested at his home last week.
According to reports from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, Buck was taken into custody at his Newton Grove residence. He was found to have some of the stolen vehicle items in his pockets while being searched.
Investigators say that “some” of the items taken in the break-ins were discovered and returned to their owners. Items included iPods, jewelry and a GPS system.
Buck was given a $5,000 bond and a trial date of Jan. 8.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Buck has a history of convictions dating back to 2003. Those convictions include assault on a female (July 2003); and misdemeanor breaking and entering and felony breaking and entering (both in January 2009).
