“Harrells played very hard tonight (Tuesday); they battled us inside and I must compliment then on how well they played,” said Hobbton head coach Kenny Bass.
Bass also highlighted Malcom Swinson and Justin Armwood on their shooting; Henry Barnes and Terence Robinson for their battle inside; and Joe Schoonmaker for his early contributions to the game.
As for the game Tuesday, Hobbton would take a 24-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and expanded it to a 30-18 half.
Following the break, Hobbton would remain ahead with 42, but Harrells would rally for another 18 points, bringing them to 36 points.
In the fourth quarter, Harrells would tie the game up at 45-all, but Hobbton would sneak ahead 56-54.
Leaders for Harrells were Josh Teachey and Connor Bullard, both with 18 points.
Hobbton will take on Lakewood today at 7:30 p.m., in the auxiliary gym at CHS; Harrells will face Midway for seventh or eighth place at 4:30 p.m. today.
