A Turkey man is facing felony sex charges after allegedly engaging in lewd acts with a child, according to Sampson County Sheriff’s investigators.
Scott Allen Ongley, 36, of 3668 Cabinn Museum Road, Turkey, has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Ongley was served the charges at the Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon. His bond was set at $100,000.
Capt. Eric Pope said the Sheriff’s Office was notified on Saturday that Ongley had attempted a “lewd and lascivious act” on a minor child and “attempted to take immoral, improper and indecent liberties” with the same minor child.
According to Pope, through investigation, it was determined that probable cause existed to charge Ongley with the offenses.
