The Leopard’s junior varsity team has advanced to 3-1 in the Tri-County conference after defeating Hobbton Wednesday. The final score was 41-34.

“It was a great ball game by both teams. I think the only difference was at the foul line. We were 7 for 12, while they were 4 for 15,” said Lakewood’s head coach Sylvester Pittman.

According to Pittman, the Leopards played hard and smart, which made the win even more enjoyable.

As for Hobbton, head coach Angelo Surles commented, “It was a very disappointing loss. I only had one player ending up in double digits tonight and that was Brandon Parker.”

During the game, the Leopards would hold the leading spot for all 32 minutes.

Leading at the half 19-12, Lakewood would pull up another 22 points for the win Wednesday.

Leaders, for either team, were not reported by press time.
