After a couple of lead changes occurred for Hobbton on the court, Autry said the ‘Cats would get off to a slow start for a 20-19 halftime trail.
We were down 10 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but the team fought hard to come back,” Autry explained, adding that the Wildcats would add 22 points in the fourth quarter.
However, Wallace-Rose Hill’s extra 14 would keep them ahead for the 50-48 victory.
Leaders for Hobbton were Annarose Schoonmaker with 19 points; Niesha Lewis with 14 points; Bethany Knight with 6 points; Casey Hobbs with 4 points; and both LaDaja Barksdale and Michaela Wilson contributed 2 points.
“Casey Hobbs came off the bench with a couple of huge baskets,” Autry also highlighted. “Overall I am still proud of our team because we didn’t go out without a fight.”
