“We have been working on our rebounding and our free throws,” said a pleased Clinton girls’ coach Chris Owens.
According to Owens, with the lady Horses winning both the rebound and shooting battle, they were able to pull ahead for an 18-point finish.
“Our man-to-man was excellent; I knew we could give them problems on the ball with our pressure,” commented Owens. “We played a good, strong man-to-man, which made us able to seal the win.”
Leading Horses were Mariah Morrisey with 15 points; Mildred Fisher with 5 points; Shaniece Twitty with 4 points; Courtney Pearsall with 7 points; and Shamika Smith with 5 points.
