According to Fussell, the Raiders committed eight defensive errors, while Rosewood only recorded two.
As a team, Midway was 7-24 at the plate, struck out 10 times and were walked four times, Fussell noted.
The Eagles were 3-23 from the plate, struck out 7 times and walked 5 times.
Losing pitcher for Midway was Matt Spell, who pitched 3 innings, allowing 5 unearned runs and only one earned run.
“Riley Baggett did a great job after pitching 2 innings and striking out three,” Fussell highlighted of Bagget’s pitching from the mound.
Alex McPhail was the closer Friday, striking out one.
Leading for the Raiders were Jordan Boggs, 1-4; Anthony Horne, 2-3 with 1 RBI; Josh Shaffer, 1-3 with 2 RBIs; and McPhail, 1-2 with 1 RBI.

The final score was 5-0; however, no further information was provided after multiple calls to head coach Leigh Smith went unreturned.
