Clinton’s soccer team was not afraid of a little mud Friday as they traveled to Whiteville for some turf action. Unable to capitalize on shots, however, the Dark Horses fell 2-0, said head coach Jeff Smith.

“We played pretty well; we just made a few mistakes and just missed many opportunities to score,” the coach commented post game.

Despite the loss, Smith stressed that he was pleased with the lady Dark Horses’ performance; however, this upcoming week they will be focused on tightening their defense and breaking away from the mistakes they are currently making.

Clinton will travel to East Bladen on Tuesday, March 16.
