A 24-year-old Garland man was shot twice Saturday around 1:51 p.m. while sitting inside a friend’s home in Roseboro.

Bryan Jernigan was hit twice by gunfire in his right and left legs after an unidentified man pulled up to his friend’s residence and opened fire.

According to reports from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, Jernigan was visiting friend Johnny Pope, of Lucas Road, in Roseboro, Saturday. At some point during the visit, another man, Bobby Allen Bryant, came to Pope’s residence and Pope and Bryant met on the lawn, where the two are reported to have gotten into an altercation.

Within minutes, a blue Chevrolet Camaro pulled in front of the residence and a man, described only as a “light-skinned black male” wearing a dark blue bandanna pulled out a gun and began firing.

Bryant and Pope ran from the gunfire, while Jernigan, who was inside the residence was hit in the legs.

Jernigan was rushed to Sampson Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Investigators are still searching for the unidentified man in the Camaro.

If you have any information on this case, you are asked to call the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-592-4141.

Seems like the people in Garland just take their problem with them. As for the "light skinned colored fella with the blue bandanner", it seems kind fishy to me, almost staged.
