Several area churches to hold sunrise services Sunday

Sunrise service will be held at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday at 7 a.m. The speakers will be ministers of Brown’s Chapel. Breakfast will be served following the morning worship service. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey White, will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. Everyone is invited to attend the services Sunday.

Sunrise service will be held at Union Grove Disciple Church on Lisbon Street, Clinton, Sunday at 6 a.m. The guest speaker will be elder Robert McDonald. Breakfast will be served following the morning service. The regular morning worship service will be held at 11 a.m., where pastor elder Timmy Peppers will bring forth the morning message and the male chorus will render the music. Everyone is invited.

Sunrise service will be held at Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, along with First Baptist Church, 900 College St., on Sunday at 6 a.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. T.J. Farrow of First Baptist Church and will be accompanied by First Baptist Choir and Lisbon Street Choir. Breakfast will be served following the sunrise service. At 11 a.m. the pastor, the Rev. H.R. Cogdell, will deliver the morning message and the choir will render the music. The public is cordially invited.

The Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro, will have their sunrise service on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. At 11 a.m. the regular morning worship service will be held. The pastor, the Rev. S.E. Bryant, will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. At 3 p.m. the annual Easter program will be held. Saint Paul Church of Christ of Clinton will have their Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth Morrisey of Faison Chapel Baptist Church of Warsaw. Music will be rendered by Saint Paul Male Chorus. At 11 a.m. the regular morning worship service will be held. The pastor elder Onyx Martin Sr. will bring forth the morning message and the senior choir will render the music. At 3 p.m., the annual Easter program will be held. It will include singing, speeches, a skit and others. Everyone is invited.

The Greater Mt. Calvary Church, Clinton, will have its annual sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The speaker will be pastor Ruby Boykin. At 11:30 a.m., the regular morning worship service will be held. Boykin will bring forth the morning message and the combined choir will render the music. The annual Easter program will be held during the morning service. Following will be their Easter egg hunt, and it will include prizes and snacks.

On Friday, April 2, there will be a Good Friday service at Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Roseboro at 7 p.m. “The Seven Last Saying of Christ.” The speakers are the Rev. Paul Newkirk, the Rev. Joseph Evans, the Rev. Terrell McClain, the Rev. Paris White, the Rev. Rochelle Pritchett, the Rev. Clarence Lee and minister Herbert Armwood. On Sunday at 6 a.m. the annual sunrise service will be held. The pastor, the Rev. Clowney, will bring forth the morning message and the church choir will render the music. Breakfast will be served following the service. Sunday school will be held at 8 a.m. and morning worship at 9 a.m. An Easter egg hunt will follow the morning worship service. Saint Stephens Holiness Church of Turkey will have its regular morning worship service Sunday at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Willie Bryant, will bring forth the morning message and the young adult choir will render the music. Their annual Easter program will be held also.

Men’s Day will be held at Union Star Free Will Baptist Church Sunday at 11 a.m. The pastor, bishop James Leftdwrige, will bring forth the morning message and the male chorus will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. The public is cordially invited.

Men’s Day will be held at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Turkey Sunday, April 4, at 11 a.m. The guest minister will be the Rev. James Jackson, associate minister of Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church. Music will be rendered by Unity Male Chorus of Warsaw. Lunch will be served following the morning service. Youth revival will be held at Milton Grove Missionary Baptist Church March 31-April 2 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker for the week will be the Rev. Larry B. Faison of Mount Olive. On Wednesday, Red Hill Youth Choir; on Thursday, Sampson Chapel Youth Choir; and Friday, the Rev. Faison Youth Choir. Revival is already in progress, extending until tonight, at Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey, at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker is the Rev. Maddock and several choirs will render the music. On Sunday, the regular morning worship service will be held at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Leslie Morrisey, will bring forth the morning message and the youth choir will render the music. At 4 p.m., the annual Easter program, to consist of singing, skits and other activities.

On April 4, welcome back Evander Ruffin and the New Gospel Travelers of Clinton at the Friendly Community Center. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the service starts at 6 p.m. The following groups will participate: Brothers for Christ; Jerusalem Travelers; Lisbon Street Male Chorus; the New Gospelaries; EveryReady Brothers; the Redeemers, NU-Day Ministry; and others.

New Life Outreach Ministry, located at 708 Sampson St., Clinton, will have a healing and deliverance service on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be apostle Gail Cooper of Magnolia and will be accompanied by a choir.
