Michael T. Gillis, 26, of 4710 Harnett-Dunn Hwy., just inside of the Harnett/Sampson County line, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after SID agents executed a search warrant at his mobile home.
According to reports, when deputies got to the scene, Gillis attempted to identify himself as another person, that is until the deputies located identification documents with his real name.
A warrant check revealed that Gillis was wanted in Harnett County for second degree rape, statutory rape, and indecent liberties with a minor.
During a search of the residence, 2.9 grams of cocaine and 8.2 grams of marijuana were discovered. In addition to the outstanding warrants from Harnett County, Gillis was also charged with possession to sell/deliver cocaine; manufacturing cocaine; possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana; and maintaining a dwelling for the sale/storage of a controlled substance. Gillis was placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 16.
According to the N.C. Department of Corrections, Gillis has a history of felony drug convictions dating back to March of 2000.
