The funeral will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, April 24, at Union Grove Church of Christ, Clinton, with Dr. Timothy Peppers officiating. Burial in Sandhills Cemetery, Clinton.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Christie Bennett of the home; son, Brandon Lee Bennett of the home; daughter, Kelsie Love Bennett of the home; parents, Simmie and Doris Bennett of Clinton; sisters, Tonya Bennett and Battista Bennett both of Clinton; brother, Sammy Bennett of Clinton.
Visitation will be held at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 1- 7 p.m. The family will be present from 6-7 p.m. and other times at 610 McKoy St., Clinton.

MAGNOLIA — Mrs. Jeanette Hamilton Smith, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Glencare of Warsaw. She was born April 17, 1930 in Magnolia to the late Edgar and Josephine Kornegay Hamilton.

Eva C. Carr, 82
GARLAND — Mrs. Eva Christine Carr, 82, 4314 W. Magnolia–Lisbon Road, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with the Rev. Gene Jones and the Rev. Jimmy Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Carr, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Johnny Daniel Wood and Lula Rebecca Brewer Wood and was the widow of James Dewey Carr. She retired from the textile industry and attended Bread of Life Worship Center and was a member of Plain View Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. A daughter, Evelyn K. Williams, a sister, and three brothers preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Grace Rackley of the home; three grandchildren, James Frankie Rackley of Clinton, Tommy Williams of Turkey, and Beverly Williams of the home; six great-grandchildren, Jamie Rackley, Heather Rackley, Michael T. Williams, Sarah Williams, Trey Underwood, and Issac Underwood; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Williams.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Friday, April 23, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at 3541 N. U.S. Hwy. 421, Clinton, NC.
