Proverbs 15:29 is the subject of today. The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. Make no mistake about it, prayer can be answered. As a matter of fact, prayer may go farther than expected. You may receive more blessings than ask for. God has and will determine what is needed in your life. My Lord answers all prayers no matter what denomination, culture, race, gender or even faith. The overriding factors are faith, perseverance and righteousness. Prayer is not a wish list; it is the fervent conversation with our Lord and Saviour about that which shall be good in the Father’s name.

There are those of us who think that praying evil upon others is the answer, but nothing can be farther from the truth. If we do that, then we lower ourselves to the status of Satan and make our conversations with God sinful. God will not even hear a sinful or deceitful prayer. Our prayers must be praiseworthy and of good cheer. In prayer, we praise and worship God to bring us closer to God. When we worship God, we are closer to Him than we can possibly be. That is because praise welcomes His presence in our midst and in God’s presence is where you want to be. Prayer is all powerful, but it can only be effective through consistent love and loyalty to the Lord thy God.

The terror of 911, the catastrophe of Katrina; the disaster of the tsunami; the tragedy in Haiti; and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are all examples. While God is in command of all things, only God knows the precise reasons and results of them. That is why prayer will overcome all those issues and love will prevail through the righteous and powerful hand of God. The fact that these calamities have occurred means that prayer must be present in the midst of them. The saving of all human life is a righteous thing and is seen in every scenario of distress. Answering prayers is what God does; it is his job. We know you will answer our prayers when, where, and in your time. No matter what I will praise and worship you for you have done wonderful things.
