Jimmy Wayne Reaves, 24, of 2613 Crystal Springs Drive, Fayetteville, was arrested Friday evening after investigators linked him to the crime that dates back to January 2009.
According to reports from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, Reaves was arrested in connection with the incident that took place on Jan. 19, 2009 at the Smith Oil Company, located at 9269 Dunn Road in Salemburg.
On that day, three 4-wheelers, totaling over $11,000, were taken from the business, as well as damage to an exterior double door.
After a lengthy investigation, Reaves was linked to the crime and was immediately taken into custody. He was charged with breaking and entering; larceny; and possession of stolen goods. Reaves was taken to the Sampson County Detention Center and placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Reaves has a history of convictions dating back to 2003. Those convictions include: possessing/purchasing malt beverage under 21(June 2003); possession of stolen goods (September 2003); larceny (December 2003); possession of stolen goods (November 2004); felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny, two counts of conspiracy larceny and receiving stolen vehicle (December 2006 and January 2007); and burglary second degree (January 2007).
