Faison resident charged with assault

Arrests

• 5/12 — Billy Parker, 42, of 146 Smith Kea Lane, Faison, was charged with simple assault and assault with a deadly weapon. Parker was a given a trial date of June 17.

• 5/12 — Franklin Ray Bell, 21, of 106 Smith Kea Lane, Faison, was charged with injury to personal property and communicating threats. Bell was given a $1,500 bond and a trial date of June 30.

• 5/12 — Robert Becton, 48, of 411 North Boulevard, Clinton, as charged with obtaining property by false pretenses. Becton was given a $3,500 bond and a trial date of May 21.

Incidents/Investigations

• 5/12 — Murphy Brown Farms, of Rose Hill, reported a larceny. Reported stolen was an $80 swine.

• 5/12 — Jonathan Faircloth, of Autryville, reported a breaking and entering and larceny. Reported damaged was a $600 in trees and bushes; Reported stolen was $300 in copper wire.

• 5/12 — Kathryn Highsmith, of Clinton, reported a breaking and entering and larceny. Reported stolen was electric wiring; damaged were 10 walls valued at $800.

• 5/12 — Brandon Blackwell, of Roseboro, reported a larceny. Reported stolen was a $1,200 blue pit bull.

• 5/12 — Vicky Young, of Newton Grove, reported a breaking and entering and larceny. Reported stolen was a $400 stereo; $300 in tapes; and $200 in recordings.

• 5/12 — Sarah Kirven-Toler, of Clinton, reported a larceny. Reported stolen was a $200 scooter.
