Frances “Sandy” Olsen Little, born July 16, 1947, in Athens, Ga., died Sunday May 30, 2010, at home.
She was the wife of Douglas Little, mother to Lee and Thomas Little and sister to Coates Olsen and Terry Basinger.
Her love for her family and students was immeasurable. She will always be in our hearts and minds.
Willie J. Hobbs, 57
CLINTON — Mr. Willie James Hobbs, 57, 64 Livingston Lane, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at his home.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, June 3, at Piney Green Disciples Church in Newton Grove, with elder Fernado Geddie officiating. Burial will following in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday, June 3, at the church.

Major A. Kornegay, 67
WARSAW — Mr. Major Allen Kornegay, 67, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at his home. He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Duplin County to Major Kornegay and the late Clara Mae Foss Kornegay.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Fellowship Church of God in Rose Hill.
The family is being served by Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
Darwin L. LaBatte, 52
NEWTON GROVE — Darwin Lee LaBatte, 52, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2010.
A funeral is planned for Friday, June 4, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Pat Keane officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Althea Giddens LaBatte; two daughters, Lona L. LaBatte of Newton Grove and Brittany L. LaBatte of the home; and a grandson, Jake Lee German.
A Rosary Service will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, at West & Dunn Funeral Home, 503 Raleigh St., Newton Grove, NC 28366. Visitation will follow immediately after the service.
