Midway routs Clinton

On Tuesday, June 15, Midway High School went head to head with Clinton High School in the Central Carolina Scholastic Summer Baseball League. Midway brought home the win 15 to 5.

The winning pitcher, Nick Baggett, pitched five and two thirds innings with four strikeouts, only allowing two hits and no earned runs.

Brett Godwin was 3 for 3 at the plate with one RBI, two stolen bases and three scored runs. Matthew Phillips was 3 for 4 with two runs scored; Robbie Baggett was 2 for 3, one run scored and three RBIs.

Other leaders were Matthew Spell, who was 1 for 4 with three RBIs; Nick Baggett, 1 for 2 with three runs scored; Cameron Bagget, who was also 1 for 2 with one RBI; Jordan Farthing, who was 2 for 2 with three runs scored and three RBIs; and Barrett Sloan and Eli McCullen both with an RBI each.
