According to reports, investigators are searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for burning down a single-wide mobile home at 100 Vann Road in Clinton, owned by resident Wayne Jackson.
Firefighters with the Vann Crossroads Fire Department arrived on scene around midnight Sunday to put out the blaze. No injuries were reported; however, officials believed the fire was suspicous after discovering that witnesses reported seeing a white pickup truck in a field next to the residence just before the fire began.
It was also reported that the homeowner discovered a set of tire tracks beside the home where the truck was seen.
According to officials at the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is ongoing. Officials are asking the public for any information that may lead them to the suspect or suspects in this case. The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office tip line is 910-564-5261.
