Darwin Edgardo Martinez was taken into custody and charged with six counts of first degree statutory rape; six counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor; and two counts of sexual offense with a child.
Sampson County sheriff’s officers said the arrest comes on the heels of an investigation which began July 12, when the parents of the youngster notified law enforcement that the suspect had been having sex with their 12-year-old daughter.
Through the investigation, reports indicate, officers found enough probable cause to level the charges.
He is scheduled to appear in court July 23 on the charges.
No further details were provided on the case, and the N.C. Department of Corrections website indicated Martinez did not have any prior convictions.
He will now have to get used to 18 year old men,
