A three-car collision Friday morning resulted in law enforcement officials calling for three helicopters, including Duke Lifeflight.

Although details were sketchy Friday afternoon, what is known now is that three cars collided with each other around 11 a.m. at Pleasant Union Church Road and N.C. 24, between Roseboro and Autryville. A car is believed to have pulled away from a stop sign and into traffic too early.

One report noted that at least two victims in the crash were pinned in their vehicles. However, the report could not be substantiated.

It was not known how many people were injured in the crash, or how serious those injuries were.

North Carolina Highway Patrol were investigating the incident.
