Owens, Miss Teen Essence of Sampson County 2008; Devony Hemingway newly crowned Miss Teen Essence of Sampson County 2010; and Brooke Vann Miss Teen Essence of Sampson County 2009 pose for photos. These young ladies have dedicated numerous hours and energy to the service of others during their reign and continue to lead the way for future contestants. The Miss Pre-Teen, Jr. Miss, and Miss Teen Essence USA scholarships foundation was founded by Noire Productions Inc. Designed for youth of ethnic descent between the ages of 4 to 18 years old to compete for scholarships, valuable prizes, and essential tools to assist them in future endeavors. Everyone can catch these Sampson County teens in action at Bojangles on Sunset Ave. this Saturday. Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will be holding a car wash for their service learning project as well as signing up future contestants for the 2011 pageant. The car wash has no set price and will be held for donations, so please come out and support these girls.
